The Finished Product

This awesome table and chairs were left in the classroom. I loved them! I sanded and painted them and look how awesome they look now!
Before.
 After.

So here are the final pictures of my room. I will be constantly changing it I'm sure but I'm really happy with how it looks now.
Mary and Father McWood (Who Nathan made and Mom and I use to teach the kids what color vestments the priest should be wearing.)

The weird brown thing on the shelf is the hat I made for Harry Potter, and also the owl puppet is Hedwig from Harry Potter. We'll read that later in the year.

This is my "Morning Meeting" board. I'll add onto it as the year goes on.

Fish!

This is my seasonal tree. I took it from the apartment. The lights will change with the seasons.

My desk!

I drew this octopus. It is our "jobs" board. Each leg has a different job written on it.

This is our "cloakroom" where they put their backpacks and such. These are the doors shut...

and open.

Mom knit these bunting flags for me. But I did sew them on the ribbon. I love them. I'm making more now, but I knit much slower them Mom.

A little music and math corner.

This is our science center. Filled with East Coast nature all found by Uncle Mike.

I love my job***

And I don't think too many people get to say that in life. I only have 9 children in my class. And instead of looking at that as low enrollment I choose to pretend that I work for a very elite charter school. I have lots and lots of pictures to post. So please enjoy.

Let's start with some before pictures.

White walls? This simply will not do.
Let's move on to my inspiration for the theme and color of the room.

I knew that I wanted a beach theme. But I wasn't really sure what to do until Mom and I took our trip to NJ. I love all the details on the North End.

The sea foam green that everything is painted here is perfect. So that's what color I decided to paint my walls. It reminds me of summer and the beach and fun.

This is my favorite. Later you will see Stacey paint this on my desk.

I painted the walls myself. It took a very long time. Stacey kept receiving frantic text messages from me complaining that there was no way I would get it all finished and I needed help. The next day she drove up and helped me finish. She added all these little details for me.
