So there it is. Still the same.

Fancy Hats and Beer.
Sarah and I got really into the Royal Wedding. And we felt a little left out of their celebrations, so we decided to have our own. We sat on our porch and drank "porch beers". This literally means drinking beers on the porch. We decided (after already having...a few... ) that we should toast the happy couple every time a car drives by. We live on a rather busy street.
We wanted to be British. So we got dressed up. Apparently this is what my semi-altered drunk mind thinks being British looks like....

Hikes in Griffith Park.
We are really close to Griffith Park. Which is great because it has some really awesome trails in it. The old L.A Zoo is also located in Griffith Park. It is completely abandoned but really cool. This week Sarah and I took a stroll through. I can't believe animals used to actually live in these tiny cages.
This is what it would look like if I lived in one of those cages.

I can sew. I can sew. I can sew (to the tune of "I Can Fly" from Peter Pan)
Hello Dad and Grandad,
I can't believe I will be seeing you both A WEEK FROM TODAY. Let's hope the world doesn't end today because I'm really excited to come home for the weekend.
I took a really awesome sewing class in Santa Monica a couple weeks ago. It was a 3 hour class and they taught you all the basics. We made a tote bag. Check out my finished product.
Cute huh? The inside fabric has little Matryoshka dolls on it. I love it! I really liked sewing. It's so different from knitting. I like that I can finish an entire project so quickly. My knitting projects take me forever.
So I had all this awesome fabric left over and decided to made some garland.
All I did was hot glue the fabric to some ribbon. But I think it looks fun. I think there is another sewing class that teaches how to make pajama pants! I asked Marme for a sewing machine for my bday. Everyone is getting home made Christmas presents!!! I should probably start working on them now.
